"God has given you one face, and you make yourselves another."

I found the title to this post in a fortune cookie I got today. There is a lot of truth in that small sentence! I know I have gotten very good at making faces to show to the world! We are all so afraid of letting the 'real me' show to the world just in case they do not like it! But as I get older I begin to realize that it really doesn't matter that some people may not like the 'man behind the curtain' (for you Wizard of Oz fans) Your friends will accept you as you are, and if they do not, they may have never been a friend in the first place. So, if you have been holding back on a decision because you are afraid what other's may think, go ahead and do it! Most people will admire you for your boldness!

Yesterday, I did not want to go to church, but I made myself go. The pastor's message was on patience, something I REALLY needed to hear! He was talking about how Samuel told Saul to wait seven days and he would arrive and make the sacrifice. On the seventh day Saul became impatient and made the sacrifices himself and just as he was finishing up, Samuel arrived! Because of his impatience Saul's children would never rule Israel.

That made me realize how we need to trust God when He says He will do something. We do alright waiting the first six days, but on the morning of the seventh day we start to get nervous and wonder if God is really coming! How many blessing do we lose out on because we could not last those final hours?
